Why a good team is so important
A Crazy Few Weeks
It’s been a minute since my last newsletter update. I knew this stretch on my calendar would be intense, but it ended up being even busier than I expected.
It started with a trip to Dallas for Disc South, with a weekend of vending at the expo followed by another week of content (more on that opportunity in April). After getting home, I had just two days of normal work before 16 disc golf creators joined us in Lynchburg for something incredible. I will share more on that next week!
Over the past two and a half weeks, from the outside, it probably looked like Foundation didn’t miss a beat. Posts went out, videos were uploaded, and new products were launched and marketed. Most of it happened without me!
That’s a really good feeling.
When you are a team of two and one person steps away, everything gets heavier for the other. As you grow, that becomes less true. This was one of the first times I have been away for an extended stretch and felt like my responsibilities were fully covered, without anyone feeling overwhelmed and without me feeling stressed.
That comes down to having a strong team and clear communication. When everyone understands the priorities, it is much easier to keep things moving forward, even when someone is out of the office.
I am definitely exhausted and ready for a weekend to reset before getting back into a more normal rhythm. But this kind of exhaustion feels different. It comes from what we have done and accomplished, not from stress about what is falling behind.
And that is a pretty great place to be.
1 Corinthians 10:31 “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
